Con todo yo me alegraré en el SEÑOR, Me regocijaré en el Dios de mi salvación. Habacuc 3:18 NBLA
Queridos amigos, cuando Jesucristo no es todo lo que tenemos, solemos buscar felicidad, satisfacción, seguridad en objetos o personas sobre los cuales ponemos una confianza idolátrica.
Conversando con un amigo le mencioné que estaba escribiendo un libro y su inmediata respuesta fue: Si te va bien, quizás tengas unos buenos ingresos para tu vejez. Me arriesgo a pensar que esa sería la respuesta que buena parte de mis conocidos daría, pues su visión está enfocada en cómo conseguir más ingresos o beneficios para una supuesta mejor vida. Se podría presumir que su ídolo es el dinero o la consecución de bienes.
Ponen su confianza en las pertenencias materiales, las aman, las sirven y las obedecen, piensan que tendrán más seguridad a mayor disponibilidad de medios económicos. Si tales seguridades se destruyen entonces todo el gozo carnal de estas personas también será destruido. Queda claro que su felicidad se derrumba cuando lo material deja de existir. Sufren tremendamente ante posibles épocas de vacas flacas, se angustian y hasta desesperan.
No creo que las posesiones materiales sean malas, en la medida en que no se conviertan en el centro de nuestra vida. Así mismo, considero que cuando se vislumbran tiempos difíciles es bueno estar preparados para no sufrir embates innecesarios o para pasarla lo mejor posible. Pero nuestra vida debe fundamentarse en la confianza en nuestro Dios y Señor, tengamos la certeza que cuando todo lo material se pierde, no se pierde a Dios.
Todo va y todo viene, pero Dios está siempre ahí, disponible y bondadoso, cuidando de sus hijos. Bajo dicha premisa podemos confiar plenamente en su inamovible presencia y deleitarnos en su maravillosa seguridad.
Quienes disfrutan de la presencia de Dios en sus vidas, lo hacen viviendo en abundancia y también estando bajo pobreza. Ya lo dijo el apóstol Pablo: Se vivir en pobreza, y se vivir en prosperidad. En todo y por todo he aprendido el secreto tanto de estar saciado como de tener hambre, así para tener abundancia como para sufrir de necesidad (Filipenses 4:2), todo lo que necesitaba lo tenía en Dios.
Para quienes confían en Dios, como lo hizo Job, pueden pasar calamidades, angustias y dolores, y a pesar de todo, siguen regocijándose en el Dios de su salvación. Cuando Jesucristo se convierte en todo lo que tenemos, una de sus bendiciones es regalarnos el don de gozo y de paz. Cuán oportunos son ambos dones cuando pasamos por pérdida y por dolor. La gracia oportuna de Dios y la consolación del Espíritu Santo no serán restringidas al alma angustiada que tiene puesta su vista en lo alto.
Juntamente con Dios podemos fortalecernos para seguir caminando por este mundo de tribulación, superando nuestros problemas y dificultades. Si nuestra oración fue fruto del desconsuelo y la angustia, tengamos la certeza que después vienen el gozo y el triunfo.
Entonces todo creyente verdadero podrá expresar con máxima seguridad: Aunque las higueras no florezcan y no haya uvas en las vides, aunque se pierda la cosecha de oliva y los campos queden vacíos y no den fruto, aunque los rebaños mueran en los campos y los establos estén vacíos, ¡aun así me alegraré en el SEÑOR! ¡Me gozaré en el Dios de mi salvación! (Habacuc 3:17-18).
La fe en Cristo es poderosa para todo tiempo de la vida, actúa como bálsamo sanador para cualquier herida en los momentos difíciles y su perfume tiene una fragancia de vida para todo tiempo. ¿Estamos dispuestos a soltar lo terrenal para reemplazarlo por lo celestial? Jesús es todo lo que necesitamos.
También les dijo: «Estén atentos y cuídense de toda forma de avaricia; porque aun cuando alguien tenga abundancia, su vida no consiste en sus bienes» (Lucas 12:15).
